Q: Can I walk in during an emergency, or do I need to call first?
A: It is always best to call ahead, so we can give you tips as you travel and be prepared for your arrival. You can walk in during business hours, and we will assess whether it is a true emergency. If so, we will drop everything that we can and get to work saving your pet’s life. If it is not a life-threatening emergency, we will triage the situation and get your pet treated at the soonest appropriate time. You may be asked to come back. Sometimes a nurse triage appointment will be enough to set your mind at ease. Please do not arrive after hours without prior arrangement, this wastes valuable time.
Q: What types of emergencies do you treat?
A: We treat a wide range of emergencies including:
Q: Do you offer after-hours emergency care?

We share a roster with the vets at Fur Life Albury, so depending on the vet on call, you will be directed to either clinic. Often, we will meet you in the clinic for emergency treatment. After 10pm our triage vets will help find you what you need.
Q: Will other clients be upset if my pet is seen before their appointment?
A: We pride ourselves on transparency and empathy. If a critical patient is arriving, we inform waiting clients and reschedule less urgent cases. Our community is incredibly understanding — everyone wants the best for every animal.
Q: What should I do if my pet ate something toxic?
A: Call immediately and bring the packaging of the product ingested. Knowing the exact ingredients and concentration can be life-saving.
