“A very heart felt thank you to the team at MRAH, with a special mention to Dr Leanne. We got some very shocking and unexpected news regarding our dog Conan this week, Dr Leanne explained everything very gently and thoughtfully to us, made all our options clear and respected and supported our decision. Two days later when it was time for our boy to leave us, her and the team made sure not only Conan, but my partner and I were comfortable and supported. They helped us make arrangements and gave us some options for after he was gone, made sure the procedure was peaceful, and gave us as much time with Conan as we needed to say goodbye. We started taking our dog to the Murray River Animal Hospital about four years ago, having heard that MRAH is a certified stress-free clinic. We did not really understand what this meant until our first visit when we were amazed at the difference in how our dog was treated, compared to other veterinary clinics. Treatment rooms are large, and pets are free to wander around the floor. The vets get down on the floor with the pets to make a physical examination. Owners have a comfortable couch or chairs to sit on and sometimes are encouraged to hold their pet in their arms while the vet does their work. Treats are regularly and freely given to pets during treatment and a water bowl is provided in each treatment room. It was clear that our dog actually enjoyed his visits to MRAH. Visits are scheduled so that owners arriving with a sick and anxious pet do not have their pet confronted with a waiting room full of animals of all shapes, sizes and temperaments. Another feature of MRAH which we liked was that during each session, the treating vet was accompanied by a nurse who took notes as required on a laptop, which meant that there was more time available for owners to talk to the vet. On top of all this, all the staff we met, whether vets, nurses or receptionists, were very caring in their approach, not only to our dog but to us as well. This was much appreciated when our dog developed some problems which eventually led to him passing away very recently. We cannot speak highly enough of the care and attention our dog received while being treated at MRAH. During a lifetime of owning various dogs and cats, we have always appreciated the skilled care which our pets have received from the various veterinary clinics we have attended. However, it was only after coming to MRAH that we realised the difference it makes to our pets when that skilled care is provided in a stress free environment. We would highly recommend that any pet owner who wants to provide the best for their pet, makes the effort to see first-hand the facilities at MRAH.

Moving up from Melbourne we needed to find a vet for our beautiful Sheltie which was very hard during the Covid lockdown. We contacted many vets so we could get our girl registered on the Australian Dog Register. MRA Hospital were the only ones willing to help us at that stage. So we stayed with MRAH and have since had a great experience for our girl. Recently we had surgery done and the results were amazing. We are very thankful to Dr Leanne and the vet nurses for such a professionally run hospital and the care given was 2nd to none. Thankyou to you all.

1st visit today. Nice gentle vet and nurse, consult room spacious and friendly, good reception ladies and obviously caring and considerate as they had a candle burning with a notice that someone was saying goodbye to their pet so please be quiet and respectful. Gave comprehensive information on caring for a young boutique kitten. Very happy that I chose them :)
