CUTE... BUT TOXIC

Many everyday plants and household items can be toxic to our pets, and some may surprise you! Dogs and cats are naturally curious, so it’s important to know what to keep out of paws-reach

𝘾𝙤𝙢𝙢𝙤𝙣 𝙩𝙤𝙭𝙞𝙘 𝙥𝙡𝙖𝙣𝙩𝙨 𝙞𝙣𝙘𝙡𝙪𝙙𝙚:

- Lilies (especially dangerous for cats)

- Sago palm

- Oleander

- Azaleas & rhododendrons

- Aloe vera

- Peace lily & philodendron

- Tulips & daffodils (especially the bulbs)

𝙊𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙧 𝙘𝙤𝙢𝙢𝙤𝙣 𝙥𝙤𝙞𝙨𝙤𝙣𝙨 𝙖𝙧𝙤𝙪𝙣𝙙 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙝𝙤𝙢𝙚:

- Human medications (pain relief, anti-depressants, cold & flu meds)

- Rat and snail bait

- Antifreeze

- Cleaning products

- Essential oils (especially tea tree)

- Certain foods like chocolate, grapes, raisins, onions and the sweetener xylitol

𝙎𝙞𝙜𝙣𝙨 𝙮𝙤𝙪𝙧𝙥𝙚𝙩 𝙢𝙖𝙮 𝙝𝙖𝙫𝙚 𝙗𝙚𝙚𝙣 𝙥𝙤𝙞𝙨𝙤𝙣𝙚𝙙 𝙞𝙣𝙘𝙡𝙪𝙙𝙚:

- Vomiting or diarrhoea

- Drooling or pawing at the mouth

- Lethargy or weakness

- Tremors or seizures

- Difficulty breathing

Time matters. If you think your pet has eaten or been exposed to something toxic, don’t wait for symptoms to appear, contact us immediately
