DR ELLY JACKSON (BSc. (hons), DVM)
Elly is our newest Veterinarian here at MRAH but don’t let that fool you, she fits in incredibly well with her outgoing personality and infectious laugh! She has an amazing knowledge base and LOVES meeting our clients and their beautiful pets. Elly graduated from the University of Melbourne in 2017 with First Class Honors in her Bachelor of Science, majoring in Animal Health and Disease. She then graduated in 2020 with a distinction in her studies of Doctor of Veterinary Medicine.
Before beginning her Veterinary career Elly volunteered at Healesville Animal Sanctuary and South Oakleigh Wildlife Shelter. She also previously umpired for AFL and was a committee member at South Gippsland Umpire Association.
Elly has continued throughout the last few years to broaden her knowledge and experiences, taking part in a Medical Plus Abdominal Ultrasound Workshop in 2021; finishing a Diabetes Masterclass
online course in 2022; and studying an online course this year on Thoracic Radiology. Elly’s special interests are medical case workups, and diagnostic imaging, including radiology and ultrasonography.
Outside of her time spent at work, Elly is a very busy woman! She loves spending time with her partner Iain and their fur child River, the crazy Kelpie X Whippet, as well as partaking in trail running, hiking, and camping. She is currently training for an ultramarathon in the mountains!
