Rachel Moullet - Senior Vet Nurse_edited.jpg

Meet Rachel, she is one of our senior veterinary nurses. Rachel has been a veterinary nurse going on 20 years and she still loves every minute of it.

She first started her career in a small town in the Dandenong Ranges where she achieved her Certificate IV in veterinary nursing.

Rachel then fell in love with her now husband Paul and together they moved up to Townsville to start their life together.

Whilst working as a vet nurse in Townsville Rachel got to care for some really cool and exciting critters, one being a Scarlett macaw, snakes and lizards. With the occasional green tree frog coming in.

Rachel has had a lot of experience with exotics up in north Queensland and this is where she formed her love for them. (Exotics are Rachel’s favorite)

Rachel’s Husband was in the army, and she has moved a lot around Australia. She has ample experience working within general practice.

Rachel has also been a student adviser working for JCU in north Queensland helping vet students with their rotations. Rachel has a strong interest in patient care and loves making our patients as happy and relaxed as she can. Rachel is proud of her stress-free training and feels this makes all the difference.

Rachels hobbies are: Going for long walks in the forest with her dogs. Dancing, reading (this girl is a book worm), and spending fun and quality time with her family: Paul and little man Fynn. Rachel also has a passion for astrology and loves finding out everyone’s star signs.

She is an avid crystal collector, which she believes you can never have enough. Rachel has two dogs and Pug called Pip and a French Bulldog called Millie. She has a lilac Burmese called Leo and 2 rats called Peanut and Butter.
