JODIE FAWCETT (aka Jodes)
Senior Vet Nurse– @ MRAH since March 2020
Jodie was one of our first Veterinary Nurses here at Murray River Animal Hospital. She had previously worked at the River Country Animal Emergency Center for 5 years before coming over to join us as a senior nurse. Specializing in anesthetics, urgent care and emergencies, you will ALWAYS find her right by your pet whilst they are undergoing their surgeries, whether that be a routine de-sexing, a complicated intestinal foreign body removal or anything in between.
Jodie has always had a passion for animals, coming straight out of school to study Veterinary Nursing and working in Equine veterinary practice and small animal practice in local clinics. She is always learning and sharing her knowledge with the team. After completing her nursing qualifications, she continued her studies within a range of different topics including equine studies, anesthesia short courses, emergency medicine, and her certificate in stress free pets.
During her spare time, Jodes has recently started her own business, The Visiting Vet Nurse. She travels to the homes of those who cannot make it into a clinic to provide nursing services and lots of love.
Jodie has her hands full at home with her Doberman, Walter; her kitty, Kevin; her two horses; and last but not least, her son and daughter. She loves time spent outdoors with her babies, camping, fishing and participating in anything to keep her children entertained!
